Silhouette blades give you the ability to cut a wide variety of materials with accuracy and precision. Our high-quality blades can cut materials like vinyl, heat transfer, cardstock, and sticker sheets, as well as specialty materials like fabric and craft foam.

Silhouette blades are indeed the soul of cutting machines as they provide the utmost precision and performance, which allows you to bring your creative vision to life. Whether intricate paper cuts, vinyl,  or  fabric designs, you always get clean and accurate results with the right blade. Blades are color-coded and easily identified so you can choose the right blade for your task. Depending on your creative needs, we have just the right Silhouette blade to make cutting a joy for you.

Find the Perfect Blade for Your Material

No single blade is suitable for every cutting project, which is why we provide a range of Silhouette blades. Standard blades (Autoblades, manual blades, and ratchet blades) cut most materials like paper and cardstock, adhesive vinyl, heat transfer vinyl, and sticker papers. Thick materials such as craft foam or chipboard need specialty blades like a 2mm blade or a kraft blade. Fabric and other soft materials need the rotary blade. The Curio 2 uses its own set of specialty tools. With the right blade, the sky is the limit.

Rotary Cutter Blades for Smooth, Precise Cuts

Rotary cutting blades are tailored to fabric, felt, and crepe-paper creators.. The rotary blade makes clean cuts without dragging through soft materials, avoiding frayed edges.  This makes it suitable for quilting, sewing, and crepe-paper crafting.

Pro Tips: Maximize Blade Cutting Performance and Lifespan

  • Select the blade specifically designed for your material and machine.
  • Use the recommended blade depth and force settings for your materials.
  • Remove debris from the blade after every use.
  • The blade should be replaced once you are unable to successfully cut through materials that have been known to have previously cut without concern.
  • A worn-out or damaged cutting mat affects the blade performance. It is advisable to replace the mat if needed.
