Orem, Utah (August 1st, 2014) – Silhouette today announced PixScan™ technology, a new feature to the Silhouette cutting system that allows crafters and makers the ability to cut precisely around a printed design using a scanner or camera, including smartphones and tablets. PixScan™ adds yet another powerful feature into the already robust Silhouette Studio® software suite.

PixScan™ technology relies on the powerful PixScan™ algorithm that allows either the Silhouette CAMEO® or Silhouette Portrait® electronic cutting tools to recognize specially placed registration marks on the PixScan™ cutting mat. The Silhouette cutting machine then performs a cut exactly as indicated in Silhouette Studio®. PixScan™ technology even has the ability to seamlessly auto-stitch together two scans for larger projects.

Silhouette America Releases Version 3 of Silhouette Studio® Software

Orem, Utah - April 2, 2014 – Today, Silhouette America released Version 3 of its proprietary design software—Silhouette Studio®. Aside from a new-look interface, the latest version of Silhouette Studio® includes many new tools and features. These new additions add even more versatility to what is created to be the most powerful design software for any cutting system on the market.
