Section 8: Previewing Fonts

You will note that in the Text settings window, you are able to preview each font style's first three characters for uppercase and for lowercase:

After selecting a new font by clicking on the drop-down arrow and locating it, you will be shown the new character preview.

HOW TO: Preview Font Styles Quickly
Instead of needing to knowing the font name, or having to select each font name individually to see what it looks like, you can view the character preview by doing the following:
  1. Open "Text" box
  2. Highlight the name of the first font style listed next to "Font"

  3. Use your mouse scroll wheel to move up and down through your fonts OR press your up/down arrow keys to browse fonts.

You should be able to see a preview of each font as you do this to find the font you are looking for that best suits your needs.

Certain fonts may displays non-characters in the preview, such as with the following example:

If this is the case, the letters being displayed do not have characters programmed for those letters being previewed. The font selected likely only has numbers programmed.
