Section 6: When to Use Drawing Tools

Lines may be drawn to create your own images to cut. You can create your own original works of art from scratch. All the tools you would need to create your own images are at your fingertips.

The drawing tools may also be used to combine with already existing images. For example, you may embed simple features into certain shapes that previously may have been plainer. In the illustration below, you can see the bat shape provided by Silhouette as it normally appears.

And here you can see we have added in a few nested circles to create eyes:

This is of course only one of the many things you can do! There are many applications for these tools you will find as you continue to play and experiment with your newly found drawing tools, even if you are not an artist.
